There is no reason why any of us should live a life were not excited about every single day. Our work, what keeps the money coming in, and what we do from 9-5, rules our lives. It typically determines where we live and how we spend our days.
The Virtual Hustle is a community of people who decided to just go for it. They’re the ones who quit the jobs they hate, move where they’ve always wanted to live, and make money online while living the life they want.
We're the freedom chasers, travelers, fun-seekers.
We don't settle for mediocracy in any aspect.
We share stories of people who have done it (and are crushing), tips, strategies, ideas for others to do it too.
Life began when I was able to make the decision to not settle for comfort and stability.
When I was 25, I packed a few belongings in my Jeep Wrangler and moved across the country on a whim. To keep the gas tank full and the income flowing, I worked as a virtual assistant and marketing consultant. Was I overly passionate about my work? No. Not at all. What I was passionate about was the fact that I could work from a tent in Bear Lake, UT, or from a cabin in Jackson Hole, WY or from a friends apartment in Boulder CO, or in a coffee shop somewhere, anywhere in the world? Yes. That was the drive, my remote work was the vehicle.
I landed in Huntington Beach, CA. Where I knew I belonged since I was little, growing up in upstate New York. I feel like the big, blond curly hair had something to do with it.
A constant thought was, "What is the point of not living a life you love?" Like Kate Moss's famous quote, "why the f* can't I have fun all the time?"
I believe the only way to achieve a great life is to go out and create it. I understand The Dream looks different for everyone. For me, it was to live at the beach, work from wherever, and make my owns schedule. I'm passionate about giving people that same opportunity - to work from wherever and build a life they're proud of.
My drive to keep the "remote working" dream alive, pushed me to build my portfolio from having one client to working virtually for over 12 companies around the US.
I started documenting my remote working life, which at the time just wasn't that common. I connected with others who were also monetizing from their online business.
By accident, I built a community - The Virtual Hustle. This is where tips, ideas and strategies to build a virtual business are shared and like minded people are connected. It's a movement and I'd love to hear from every single one of you with a side hustle or a dream.
This journey has brought me to where I am now, starting a creative marketing company - Brandmetix.
